Case study
Dzinari Trading Enterprise
Mining & industrial pump platform
Vue.jsLaravel (PHP)MySQLCPanelHTML/CSSTailwind CSS
Problem
Dzinari Trading needed a professional web platform to showcase their mining submersible pumps, motors and dewatering solutions to mining houses and EPC contractors across South Africa and the SADC region. The site had to clearly communicate technical capability, build trust with industrial clients, and generate pump sizing enquiries.
My role
Full-stack developer: requirements gathering with the client, UI/UX design, front-end development, back-end integration, deployment on CPanel, and ongoing maintenance.
Constraints
- Content needed to speak to a technical mining audience while remaining accessible to procurement teams.
- Deployed on shared hosting (CPanel) to keep costs low for the client.
- Had to load fast and work well on mobile for site engineers accessing the platform from remote locations.
Key decisions
- Structured the site around pump categories (borehole, dewatering, motors) so technical buyers can quickly find relevant solutions.
- Designed a clear 4-step process flow (Define Challenge → Pump Selection → Pipeline Integration → Commissioning) to set expectations and build confidence.
- Featured key stats (24/7 support, 10+ years experience, SADC coverage, >98% uptime) prominently to establish credibility with mining clients.
- Kept the design clean and professional with strong CTAs for pump sizing requests and contact forms to maximise lead conversion.
Challenges & learnings
- Translating complex technical pump specifications into clear, scannable web content.
- Balancing detailed product information with a streamlined user journey toward enquiry submission.
What I'd do next
- Add an interactive pump sizing calculator so clients can get preliminary recommendations before contacting the team.
- Introduce a product catalog with filterable specs and downloadable data sheets.
